APS6 Program Coordinator, First Nations Outcomes

Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished Program Coordinator who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. This role requires the ability to build and sustain strong relationships. Our collaborative department is in need of an enthusiastic individual who embraces challenges and is committed to making a positive impact within community for the federal government sector.

About your new role

The core purpose is to coordinate strategic projects, policy initiatives, and communications to improve access to disability services for First Nations peoples with disability, ensuring initiatives align with NDIS strategic objectives and cultural safety principles.

What you will need to exceed

• At least 2+ years of program or policy development experience in the APS (or similar government context), along with proven experience engaging First Nations stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of Commonwealth risk management, governance, and policy frameworks.
• Ability to build productive relationships across government agencies and external communityBased on the position description, an ideal candidate would bring a blend of policy/program experience.
• Ability to design, coordinate, and execute complex initiatives applying risk management and governance principles.
• Skilled in translating evidence and research into actionable policy advice and continuous improvement strategies.
• High-level written skills to draft complex briefs, submissions, board/governance papers, and reports for senior executives.
• Ability to craft communications, training materials, and learning resources to build organizational cultural capability.

Desirable

• Sector Context: Prior experience working within or alongside key agencies and bodies such as the NDIA, NIAA (National Indigenous Australians Agency), Department of Health and Aged Care, or Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
